Come lay your head against my heart,
I’ll bathe your soul with peace.
It’s time you learn to trust me child,
Let all your worries cease.
My blood was spilt to save your soul,
I washed away your sin.
Now open up your heart to love,
Allow your Savior in.
“My yoke is sweet, my burden light,”
You’ve read the words before.
Take up your cross, come follow me,
My grace on you I’ll pour.
My precious blood will be your drink,
For food you’ll eat My flesh.
When everlasting life has come,
It’s you I will caress!
Let Saints of old proclaim the truth,
My flesh and blood are life!
So eat and drink for you shall live,
To rise above this strife!
